Doesn't have to do with not being able to afford it.  It has to do with value.  

I can spend 200$ on a console, but I might feel that those 200$ can go somewhere else, regardless of how much I want that console.  

You can spend 200$ on whatever you want. If one game doesnt make you buy a console, then fine. Dont buy it.
