The trade by the Seahawks to acquire Percy Harvin was the really bad trade, this one is closer to his actual value. Rather, it was larceny by the Vikings.
Whenever I hear "we've got to find a way to get him the ball more," red flags spring up all over the place for me. The NFL is in love with speed and they're in love with paying speed big money but that speed needs to be matched up with a skill-set capable of getting the player into a position where all that speed comes into play. If a player doesn't have those skills then you might as well have a 800hp Ferrari with no steering wheel.
I watched it this year the same as every other year, where guys were reaching up to grab the Ginns, Pattersons, Hesters, and Harvins in fantasy drafts based on "potential". It looks like Seattle did the same, even though Harvin barely played in Minnesota.
The only thing that happened here is that Seattle realized he wasn't worth the money and they decided to cut bait. The Jets, being the Jets, decided to ignore all of that, I guess under the assumption that Geno Smith will be much better at getting Harvin the ball. Should be entertaining.

Who had one the poll six years in a row before this. Makes sense why every Broncos road game is filled with orange in the opponents home stadium.
