The pricing is a huge mistake. It was terrible on the closed beta also. If they don't go to a fair sub system this service is going to fail quicker than it took to develop it. I wonder what percentage of people paid what they were asking in the second stage of closed beta? I bet it was less than 10% of userbase.  I will say this though.  Ever since the beginning of closed beta I experienced no lag whatsoever using WIFI.  The service has functioned perfectly for me.

I think $8 for 30 days is perfect. Especially if its a game you haven't played before. Cause any single player game can be finished in a month.

Personally, I would want them to actually make game rentals a thing with PS4 games. wait 6-8 months after a game releases, then make it available to rent (as a download) for $8/month. Something like that will literally kill off the used game market.

Yeah no doubt, that could certainly happen with PS4 availability.  My thing is mom and pop rental stores...  They are getting fewer and harder to find in many cities, but there is a place here where you buy a 7 rentals for a week punch card for $35.00, and they do 2 for 1's on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  So if you go there on those days you can rent 2 games for 1 punch any console from PS1 all the way to PS4/ X540 / WiiU.  So that comes out to $2.50 for a week rental of any game.  I'm sure most major cities have places like it...

I'll definitely be more interested in a subscription service over the current rentals.

Some of the prices are just terrible and others aren't so bad. But I do agree that subscription model would be the best. I'm interesting in seeing though how much would they be willing to pay for sub to PSNow.

The 8 dollar for a month is good for now. You could play and platinum a good RPG in that time

Kotaku doesn't seem to like it.. Prices are over the place.. There are games 12.99 , 14.99, 22.99.. For 30 days.. Why don't they level that price

why shouldn't prices be all over the place?  surely games like CoD should demand more money than games like doki doki universe.

i haven't reviewed what is on psn but the publisher has a say in setting the price just like they do on psn/xbl.

Sure.. I can understand that but what makes F1 2013 22.99 and MGS4 14.99? Age? But then why is Deus Ex 12.99?. Confuses the shit out of consumers.. Just set tripple A to 14.99, C games to 7.99 and 11.99 B games..

So does it work good? I know there's some free games, so everyone in America and Canada can try it.

namco vs konami vs square

2013 vs 2008 and massively successful vs 2011 and kind of a flop

to buy digitaly on psn:  59.99 vs  ???  vs 19.99

or better yet,.. to buy on amazon:    $39.99 ($58.60 on 360) vs  $18.70 vs $12.09

...so are you confuzed as shit by amazon?  do you demand that amazon sets all prices based on the label AAA, C, and B?
