Wow. Next season is so incredibly empty. There is Fire Force, trash and lots of porn. Good for my tortured backlog I guess.

The Cyberpunk 2077 anime will be directed by Imaishi. That means at least someone at CD Project has taste.

Time passes and I am unable to do the things I want outside, so I am forced to stay inside and instead do the things I want inside. That means 3 more anime watched, bringing the total to 6 in June. I think that only makes up for March, so I am still on track for 3 per month.

Yakusoku no Neverland- This show has great worldbuilding that makes me interested to see more. I am quite intrigued with what actually happened. The main 3 are all quite interesting. I think with such perfectness, the leaders should have been able to deduce that something like this would happen. The ending was quite the cliffhanger but it is definitely an acceptable stopping point. meh OP ED

Domestic Na Kanojo- I expected this show to go a lot worse based on the opening scene and the MCs main goal. But surprisingly this show was fun for awhile. Of course if there is a sequel then the creators have plenty of time to ruin the show with a love triangle. The drama for drama's sake was annoying, but completely expected of a romance anime. I was hoping that not every single episode would be stressful, but the creators must do something it seems. I also expected nudity, but apparently I didn't watch the uncensored version, oh well. Good OP, but I got tired of it.

Kimetsu no Yaiba (26 episodes)- Finally I watched the hype show. I love swordplay in anime. I like powering up and stuff. Even with all of that, this show is merely good and not great. There were good moments and bad moments. One episode in particular was so hype, I had to watch it twice, something I rarely do. But then the very next episode completely ruins it. I felt better about the other hyped shows like My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan, so I am sad this one didn't quite do as well. Regardless there seems to be a lot more content left despite the manga ending, so I will enjoy the future movies/seasons.

I already have my next 4 anime lined up, but I will only talk about 3 of them. At some point I am going to have to finish Fairy Tail as well... 51 more episodes.

Lapis Re:Lights sure is something. It's Love Live meets Little Witch Akademia meets Yuru Yuri. It's not as good as either of them but it definitely does try hard. It has above average animation and design and you can feel that the people making it care a lot. It's certainly better than it has any right to be.

It has all of the tropes and stock characters with witches, idols and overt yuri, what else does anyone really need?

Lapis Re:Lights is just great. It's this season's Princess Connect or Boufuri. So many feelgood vibes and genuine slapstick comedy that makes you smile.

Deca-Dence certainly has promise with that director.

Fire Force is just as good as always with a potentially great addition to the cast.

The first episdoe of Kanojo, okarishimasu is surprisingly not terrible with two relatable leads.

With Re: Zero and another Monster Musume it's quite a solid season.

Back street girls Gokudolls is the best anime I ever seen

Have you seen exactly one anime?

I finished 3 more anime like 10 days ago, actually 5 and a half, but I will talk about 3 because I am lazy. Got a huge headstart on August, and August will either feature very little anime or a ton of anime. I am personally hoping for little anime because of my other plans... but Coronavirus is getting in the way like usual.

Baki Part 3 (12 episodes)- A continuation of more ridiculous fighting. The 1st arc was great, and was somewhat self aware, but didn't end up alleviating the issue at all. The 2nd arc was meh, but I enjoyed just how strong the MC gets. The last episode seems to be hyping up for the ultimate fight most Baki fans have been waiting for. All in all enjoyable for what it is. The OP is absolutely great, and I was dying waiting for the full version to come out at the time. I just checked it out today and it delivered. Another one to add to my imaginary karaoke list.

Japan Sinks 2020- A disaster anime from a legendary director, what could go wrong? Well apparently he didn't have as much control as most people would have liked, because wow it was not as good as some of his other animes. I will praise the disasters, as they were quite fun and slightly terrifying. The Japanese culture montage was also pretty great despite the obvious bias. Of course there are lots of easy things to criticize like the science, the characters, the randomness and etc. But worst of all for me was the attempt at emotional frame of reference almost as bad as Star Wars The Last Jedi. When I first finished this show I was thinking it was nearly the worst anime I watched all year and possibly in years, but I have softened up a little bit since. OP is okay and ED okay too.

BNA- A different beastly anime to Beastars. In this one we at least get a cute girl as the lead. She is kind of a Mary Sue though, along with her friend. Speaking of friend, her other friend seems to be the same as her but fails to use the power in the same way... Maybe it was for comical effect, either way it was sad. I am thinking "Can't you just leave?". Character wise the MC has her own goals different from the city, but she ends up helping them of course as the MC. I was hoping she would get what she desired and see her family again that she desperately wanted to go back to. But the anime likes to shift the focus on only the city for some reason. It was still an enjoyable watch, but I am not sure a 2nd season is needed, Trigger has better shows to work on! OP and ED were okay.

Nobody really cares about this thread anymore, and especially my posts, so I don't know why I keep updating. Oh yeah, just for myself. Been so lazy though.

I finished 6 more animes. Let me try to remember them. As I type this, I can relisten to all the OPs and EDs too!

Mob Psycho 2- Better than I thought it would be. Mob Psycho first season was just okay, but this show really hit me emotionally in quite a few episodes. A show with well deserved praise even though I did drop it halfway and pick it back up 2 weeks later, it steadily improved and improved aside from the ending. I hope a few more arcs make it to anime like this one. OP and ED meh

Megalo Box- A worse version of Levius basically. Levius was the first manga, but Megalo Box was the first anime. Either way they are both quite similar and both had the same disappointing features. I liked the MC better in Levius, as in Megalo Box, he is just boring. I hope if they ever do a boxing anime, that the plot is more balanced and perhaps a longer season would help. When I watched Major, of course it was a 150 episode+ anime there are ups and downs with the sport. I really enjoyed watching the successes and failures despite knowing that he is a beast player. I hope other sports anime take heed of this. OP was okay and reminded me of late 90s early 2000s anime like Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain. ED is good too.

Boku no Hero Academia Season 4 (25 episodes)- More hype show yay! The show went about as expected, but a lot of episodes were quite slow. Not sure if I enjoy the slow episodes, because it makes the hype episodes that much better. Either way the MC wasn't very hype this season. Lemillion was awesome though. 2nd part was pretty meh, but more buildup I suppose... for the last 2 or 3 episodes. These last episodes completely redeemed most of the season. He isn't much of a good guy, but I can't help but put him in my top 3 maybe even my favorite. Such an emotional ending. OPs and EDs were meh but Kimi no Chikara is beast.

Hinomaruzumou (24 episodes) - I actually started this show about a year ago with my friends, and we kept it as a watch only when together show. We finally finished it over Summer vacation and it was a decent show to only watch when together, because it wasn't good enough to want to watch it when away, but decent enough that it is worth watching. The different sumo guys were fun, I just hope the littlest guy comes back in a year or two as a fatso with lots of skills haha. The different bouts were interesting and sumo's simplicity yet finesse was put on the forefront. One criticism I have, is that they mention a ton of different foreigners enjoying sumo but they leave out the elephant in the room in that Sumo has been dominated by Mongolians for years. OPs were good (BE THE NAKED), EDS meh.

Dorohedoro - This show is just so strange, I like it. It is dystopian but funny. I could easily imagine Fallout- Dorohedoro. It made me really hungry for gyoza too. The plotline itself was interesting enough, but it definitely feels like it needs a lot more episodes to uncover all the mysteries. The Antagonists are just as fun as the protagonists that one could interchange their roles. After all it is dystopian so there isn't really a good guy yet. Another thing to mention is the odd censorship, but I guess it is so sparse that is alright. OP and ED decent.

Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne! - The most recent show I watched has been the cutest. I always wanted a female protagonist to become isekaied and build her own harem. Now they just need to take it to the next level and add more yuri. Had a bunch of RPG tropes that are just great fun for me. The relationship and other anime tropes were more meh. Main plot was meh and that's fine if they just run around doing quests and being cute. OP and ED were meh.

Only 2 episodes left of Oregairu. I'd previously mentioned I read spoilers from the last novel to see if the author screwed up, and I can tell you from the ending preview for this week, the next episode will likely be the most dramatic.
