I was hoping the service I was using (Funimation) would go right into season 2...but it seems like it's not available on any legal service this season. Did a little research, and it sounds like Netflix picked it up, which means you can only watch it when they want you to watch it. I'm actually kind of impressed at Netflix, it takes effort to be this much of an actual cock. Guess I'll have to head to the Grand Line again. A nice subtitle to this season would be: Local Video Streaming Service Ruins Everything |
Ugh that sucks...I wish Netflix would just start doing simulcasts

I want to watch Noir. I'm interested in any other crime or horror anime.
Chihayafuru live action must be doing well for itself. It's getting a 5 episode series on Hulu Japan to tie the second film into the third film.
I need to finally get into it.

I kinda like netflix's way of adding content. They just dump the whole season in your lap.

I like binging too, usually I'll have one or two backlog anime alongside my weekly stuff. My issue is that people who prefer binging will always have that option, no matter when the episodes are released individually. People who want to simulcast and watch anime while they're airing are kind of SOL, Netflix forces them to wait, even if episodes are already available and being discussed elsewhere.
I'm personally not against downloading or illegal streaming, particularly because of cases like this, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that certain shows are being held hostage for no real reason outside of the company's bottom line. I do hope Netflix does more simulcasts in the future, as they seem to be doing that with Violet Evergarden in certain regions (even if I'm not one of those regions so my issue remains there).

In a lighter topic, here's some good news for fantasy light novel and oppai loli fans.
Is It Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon? Second Season Confirmed
Apparently a movie was confirmed too. I remember I liked the first season even if I don't remember much about it. Maybe I need a refresher.

Both the first season and the spinoff were really well written and produced. Even though they leaned on the standard cliches, I enjoyed them both.

I agree with that on anime.
That's really good news. I love that anime. I may rewatch the first season again since my memory of it is fuzzy.
