Didn't know that they were doing another season of overlord. Well this season got a lot better. Rewatching the first season so everything is fresh.

Ah shoot, that's annoying. Is there a dedicated CR app or are you trying to use the stupid built-in Kindle browser? There might be a way to download other browsers...though I haven't tried it yet. I just know I had to disable some shop setting on mine in order to download apps Amazon doesn't like.

----------

Speaking of Amazon, I started watching Made in Abyss on the Prime Video app on PS4. Works pretty nicely, though with three different caption options you think one wouldn't have that stupid black box around the text. Oh well, still better than the Funimation app.

Also Made in Abyss is fantastic so far. Seems like a unique premise with some likable characters and a neat setting. It's a nice anime where I can tell nothing bad will happen. *slightly smiling face*

Love the animation as well, could have told me it was Ghibli and I might even believe you.

There was a dedicated CR app for kindle but an update made the app not work so it's being fixed. I don't know how long that will take though. I haven't tried to use CR with the browser yet but it's not a big deal since i can watch it on my ps4. I also have netflix so I can try to be patient with my  new kindle.

After watching Violet Evergarden, I take back what I said about this being a weak season.

It's really not that bad.  I think it just caught people by surprise, after the first episode being so adorable, that the Abyss really is dangerous.  After that, it turned into a meme, basically.  People have been conditioned to think cute characters will emerge from difficult circumstances with no more than a scare, so it's easy to surprise them.

And the art is amazing.  Even the music is amazing.

I'm pretty sure even if the anime was categorized as horror from the start, the worst scenes would still be very bad, even in comparison with other graphic animes. It's the buildup and execution that makes it so effective, not the surprise.

Yuru Camp makes me happy. Rin is awesome. The ED is incredibly nice.

Death March seems interesting. Guess this season is turning out better than I thought.

Man I freaking hate Netflix. I had my eye on Violet Evergarden, only found out Netflix picked it up this season. Normally I'd be whatever about it, I get it's a business and they want to be competitive, and who doesn't have Netflix anyway...but delaying the release of the whole show until the season is already over just seems shitty to me. I honesty don't get what advantage there is for your consumer to release it all at once rather than simulcasting it. Not everyone wants to binge anime after everyone's already talked about it.

It sucks for people who want to enjoy this hobby legally, I honestly feel vindicated pirating anime with garbage like this happening. Well I say that...but I still haven't touched Little Witch Academia, which Netflix also scooped and held hostage for three months.

That's it for my rant. Dog poll will end tomorrow. If you have an idea for a new poll let me know, otherwise I'll come up with something random.
