Is it just me or was this 3rd season of Shokugeki just terrible? I really liked the first arc with the festival but it went all downhill from there. Maybe it's gotten too predictable and repetitive.

I actually hated it when it suddenly change but I kinda like it now. I wish they could have provided us 1 season about the elite 10 (maybe S4), since I was really excited on who they are, but their introduction sucked.

But now, I do like how there is this massive plot

But where is this plot even going? It's going to end up in a Shokugeki of Souma vs bad guy. But I don't see the point here. Is that really more exciting than Souma climbing up the ladder? It feels like absolute filler because I am going to predict that once this issue is resolved everything is just going to be back exactly where we were in season 2.

Also the bad guy fails completely on all levels. He's not threatening, annoying, charismatic or even just crazy or evil. He's just some dude. Everything with that guy in it feels like filler.

I think the problem is that the Elite 10 were an introduced in an OVA, which was a boneheaded move by the anime staff, but even then that was mostly Kuga, Rindou, and Tsukasa’s introductions, with some random banter and names for the others.

They do get some development later...though even in the manga that’s still happening so it’ll be a while still.

Is child abuse not evil? :P

My issue with Azami is that he’s basically a real like antagonist thrown into a fantasy setting, and the more sympathetic he acts the more I cringe thinking how he fucked up his daughter’s life. The guy deserves to be in prison and he’s probably just gonna get a talk no jutsu or something.

Shokugeki is a very predictable story, but that’s honestly been the way since the Autumn Elections. Still, no idea how it feels like filler when this plot is basically used to propel Souma into fighting the Elite 10, who have been foreshadowed as villains since Erina’s introduction. I don’t think it’s much of a spoiler to realize Souma and co. will have to fight them before the arc is resolved. If anything, most fans seem to be worried about the opposite...once this arc is done, what ladder is left to climb?

As someone who dropped it after 17 or 18 episodes because it was too predictable and repetitive, that line leaves me scratching my head.  That, and I realized I cared absolutely nothing about the blob of tofu known as the main character.  Oh, and that the entire "school" was just a silly plot device.

Yer it was getting predictable. I just watched the last episode. Before that I was wondering it is 3 seasons in when will that particular question be answered. It come out in the last 1 minute lol

I thought everyone knew by Season 1. I mean he was right there with everyone. And seriously? No one knows that a world famous chef had a diner and a kid?

No as in the girl didn't know. she thought he was some commoner brat lol

The Dub for next season is looking great.

The Ancient Magus Bride - Continuing
Citrus
Darling in the FranXX

Just hoping that Overlord season 2 and Dagashi Kashi season 2 get dub announcments.

Funimation should probably do S2 of Dagashi Kashi. Overlord 2 might come out, but it will take forever to release.

I watch it for the fun characters, so it bothers me when the series focuses on the most boring ones. Sadly despite constant teasing the fun characters of the Elite 10 took a complete backseat this season. Not only that, it went out of its way to put the most boring characters into the spotlight.

Did a binge yesterday, I half regret it, because I really feel I should have keep up with lots of these, besides Kuni and Ryokou which I did keep up with and I highly recommend to anyone.

Houseki no Kuni. Nothing but praise for this one, great characters, interesting setting and while the whole show is great visual wise, Episode 10 just really shows off to every shitty CG anime how is supposed to be done. I guess my only issue would be a lack of season 2, hopefully the end of this one is satisfying enough, but is going to have some plot and characters threads left without answers.

Found something cute to ship too.

Konohana Kitan. Soft yuri anime with a very cozy atmosphere, behind the main characters there are some pretty nice arcs about spirits and ghosts, pretty heartwarming stuff. Mad props since this was a manga which the author kept getting rejected by publishers unless she remade it as a harem with a male MC, good thing she found a magazine willing to publish it with the original story, because the adaptation here, has been something quite special.

Stopped my heart like 10 times, caught me off guard too much.

Love Live Sunshine Season 2. They did it again, they outgayed themselves after Sunshine did the same with the og seasons.I think there were like 3 or 4 proposal tier lines, anyways, I think this may be the best Love Live season for me, the character development and the interactions of the girls on this one are really great, Yohane and Dia especially have been amazing. Still 2 eps to go.

Subtlety be dead on this franchise, enough for now if they never plan on crossing the line.

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou. Another lovely anime, the atmosphere of the post-apocalyptic world accentuated by the music and direction, the slow drives as you take in the environments, is something quite awe inspiring just to watch. Despite the simple look of the characters’ style, is quite detailed in terms of the animation, the backgrounds and even the girls in terms of their clothing, overall another amazing show. (Chito and Yuuri are the cutest thing together).

Yuki Yuna is a Hero Season 2. Back with the mahout shoujo drama, pretty style and amazing music.

The prequel arc was fantastic, with the highlight being Gin.

Now the sequel arc, while I loved every episode (Yuna and Togo devotion to each other is something amazing and even more brought up than in the first season), the new struggles and such, I feel like if this doesn’t end well, I’m not going to like it as much. Because the thing is, S1 already had a great ending and now S2 is introducing more elements that while they work, didn’t exist in the previous season, so really is a lot of a burden following up on a great ending if is going to end like something worse or not as good, maybe is just me idk.

Just an excuse to post this pic forever.

Alright. I watched Knight's and Magic. I feel like I say this about a lot of anime, but it was a weird show. It really needed to be extended to 2 seasons with how much it seemed to skip around. The MC being a trap was odd, but fine anyways. The MC not being from that world but they only mention it for the first 3 minutes of the show was also odd. Still I enjoyed it, sometimes one need a super OP MC. The politics in the show was intriguing and all the characters were fine. The combat was great. Overall an average show.

I also watched Gamers! I will say right now that it is what I will say is the most underrated show of 2017. Honestly about halfway through the show I laughed myself to tears. Never thought an anime about Gamers could be so hilarious. An episode equal to the most hilarious episodes I have seen like in Full Metal Panic Fumoffu and Baccano and others. I was just glad I was home alone at midnight laughing like a maniac and didn't wake anyone up, besides the kitten next to me.

Additionally all the game references were cool. Seeing FFXV in an anime was odd, and the conversations about games like that was quite interesting. The references to the consoles were cool with the controllers/ consoles of the PS4, Vita and even the Switch.
