So...we're getting a horse girls anime.

Fresh out of the gates of AnimeJapan 2017, cygames's upcoming horse racing / idol raising smart phone game Uma Musume - Pretty Derby will be receiving a TV anime adaptation with animation by P.A. Works (The Eccentric Family, Shirobako).

Aside from the announcement that cygames, TOHO animation, and Lantis are all involved as producers for the equine-girl themed TV anime, no further details about the production are yet available. We'll just have to break out our big book of horse puns and wait more later announcements.

Yeah I tend to avoid mega threads XD but I made an exception for once. Uhhh... probably something more slice-of-life like. So something slow but with a bit of depth like Clannad. I've watched every anime by Jun Maeda (so Clannad, Angel Beats, Kanon, etc.) so something similar to his work. Doesnt need to be SoL, but just slower/more relaxed

Nice, love Jun Maeda's and Key's works in general as well. Guess you've seen all of them, so I won't mention those.

I highly recommend Sangatsu no Lion (or March Comes in like a Lion). It was my Anime of the season two seasons in a row (*shamelessly self promotes his post above), and it fits the description above. It's basically about an introverted boy who works to overcome personal tragedies and complexes by playing shogi and forming new relationships. It's a nice blend of drama and humor. It's a bit slow, but if you don't mind that, it's worth trying for sure.

Have you seen Charlotte yet? I wasn't crazy about it, but if you like Jun Maeda stuff it might be worth it.

Well SoL is my fave genre and like I always recommend, Natsume Yuujinchou season 1-5 (season 6 is about to start), Non Non Biyori, So Ra No Wo To and Barakamon.
