I just don't care about forcefully sexualizing anime characters to fake making an anime into being more interesting than it actually is. Take K-On for example: you all spent pages debating made up yuri aspects of it to the point where I know nothing about the show except that people are obsessed with fake relationships involving the characters. How is that going to get me to watch the show when I genuinely value plot and character development over how easy it is to "ship" characters, but nobody seems to emphasize those aspects of a show they obsess over because "omg gais there are close girls and close guys and everything has to be yuri or yaoi"?
As much as I enjoy High School DxD, for example, I prefer divorcing how I interpret a purposefully sexual and generally lewd show from how I interpret others. It helps differentiate what makes an individual anime standout rather than forcing it to be something it isn't and will never be.
