I just don't care about forcefully sexualizing anime characters to fake making an anime into being more interesting than it actually is. Take K-On for example: you all spent pages debating made up yuri aspects of it to the point where I know nothing about the show except that people are obsessed with fake relationships involving the characters. How is that going to get me to watch the show when I genuinely value plot and character development over how easy it is to "ship" characters, but nobody seems to emphasize those aspects of a show they obsess over because "omg gais there are close girls and close guys and everything has to be yuri or yaoi"?

As much as I enjoy High School DxD, for example, I prefer divorcing how I interpret a purposefully sexual and generally lewd show from how I interpret others. It helps differentiate what makes an individual anime standout rather than forcing it to be something it isn't and will never be.

Dude, I told you and everyone numerous times that K-On is a great show. As far as moe shows go it's the absolute pinnacle. More than 1 dimensional characters, genuine plot, lots of feels, lots of actual comedy beyond kawaii antics, unbelievably detailed visuals and display of actual music with actual instruments.

You know another good indicator of a great anime? People talking lots about it and making up fan theories.

If people like you continue to refuse to watch it we may have to crank it up even more.

Lmao those guys that talked about Keijo a few pages back... just read the first chapter... hahahhaha.
Promising series :)

I've never been a fan of shipping or yuri/yaoi discussions either, but I loved K-On! It has nothing to do with yuri or shipping and is one of the most innocent shows possible, you should watch it.

I also agree on the differentiation. I really like To Love Ru for example but can hate other shows for showing out-of-place fan service, and I like romance anime but can't stand forced relationships in other shows which don't need it. Don't worry, K-On is great and nothing in it is disturbing or annoying like that.

Just read the first chapter myself. Looks like we're in for something really good.

In other news we have another great addition to next season.

Which means we will not only have one or two but THREE magical girl animes next season!

Add that to the others and several interesting new animes and Fall season should be easily better than the other 3 seasons combined. I don't think I ever anticipated so many animes in a single season.

The winner of the last poll was Spice and Wolf with 9 votes ; Darker than Black and Psycho Pass being close seconds at 6 votes each.

Now this week, a new poll requested by Uran. Who is best girl in Re:Zero?

Personally, I think best girl is Felix :P
