| LuckyTrouble said: I just don't care about forcefully sexualizing anime characters to fake making an anime into being more interesting than it actually is. Take K-On for example: you all spent pages debating made up yuri aspects of it to the point where I know nothing about the show except that people are obsessed with fake relationships involving the characters. How is that going to get me to watch the show when I genuinely value plot and character development over how easy it is to "ship" characters, but nobody seems to emphasize those aspects of a show they obsess over because "omg gais there are close girls and close guys and everything has to be yuri or yaoi"? As much as I enjoy High School DxD, for example, I prefer divorcing how I interpret a purposefully sexual and generally lewd show from how I interpret others. It helps differentiate what makes an individual anime standout rather than forcing it to be something it isn't and will never be. |
Dude, I told you and everyone numerous times that K-On is a great show. As far as moe shows go it's the absolute pinnacle. More than 1 dimensional characters, genuine plot, lots of feels, lots of actual comedy beyond kawaii antics, unbelievably detailed visuals and display of actual music with actual instruments.
You know another good indicator of a great anime? People talking lots about it and making up fan theories.
If people like you continue to refuse to watch it we may have to crank it up even more.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
