Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, if you you haven't watched it yet. It's pretty much mandatory for all anime fans.

If you are looking for some new stuff, Aldnoah.Zero, Barakamon, Majimori Rurumo, and Zankyou no Tokyo are all amazing this season.

There are some other great recommendations on older anime in the third post in the OP

A lot of people are talking about Aldnoah.Zero anyway, so making it one of our ones to watch seems like a logical next step. I'd also vote for Terror in Resonance as it's a beast.

Then you best listen to him. A lot of people consider it anime's greatest masterpiece.

i dont know man... Fate Stay Night (by Ufotable) is on that chart.

and then theres Mushishi second season and Psycho Pass second season...  (maybe you are being sarcastic, but since this is the internet i cant really tell...)

There's some quality shows, but the quantity of decent shows seems to be down.

Well, it depends on what You have watched in the recent years... There are a lots of sequels That I'll watch surely: Chaika, Log Horiazon, Psycho pass, and probably will catch up Yowamishi Pedal... there are some hidden gems that not all would notice, Trinity seven is a nice and fun manga.. and KISEIJU! KISEIJU IS THE BEST DAMN THING OF THAT SEASON! I tell You... that manga is AWESOME!.... I longed for a anime so much that I still don't believe it...

 

And there's the remake of Fate/Stay Nigth.. I could say is not that great but is a very round season...

 

Shingeki no Bahamut, Grisaia no Kaijitsu, world  trigger and madam no ou vanadis are in the could watch list...
