322 episodes of shippuden down, 0 english dubbed episodes left, time to put this on the same rotation as FT and OP. So hyped for grimgar tomorrow tho.

It has characters I want to hug (Erio and Tia come to mind) and characters I want to smash into a wall (all Cyborgs, the eponymous heroine and cardboard mage from Belka)...

Wow why hate Nanoha? She is amazing, I just found tia annoying especially since she just loved to steal nanoha's techniques. There is only one true starlight breaker.

Let's welcome a new initiate into my exclusive and coveted 10/10 anime Hall of Fame.

Today it's Dead Leaves!

It's one of the few animes that Imaishi had full directoring power and the second Imaishi directed anime in my 10/10 list. It easily trumps his previous works like P&SG, FLCL and even Kill La Kill in crazyness and his trademarked "notgivingashit" attitude. Sadly it's so short but in those 50 minutes you will experience pure, uncut, homegrown, highly destilled Imaishi.

Of course it's full of sex, which is kinda fitting because those 50 minutes are basically sex for the eyes. It also has heapings of gore and a good measure of toilet humor to round it up.

As with all animes where Imaishi had his fingers in, this one shows what anime can be and that it doesn't have to be the thousandth melodrama, SoL or action shounen to be genuinely good and not just artistically bankrupt.

My favorite romantic anime? Well, I don't really watch those that much so I'll pick the closest one that I like that fits that. Rosario + Vampire.
