Man, this thread kinda died while I was sorting out my name thing loll. Welp, back to posting pictures!

Random Picture of the day: Awesome "retro" anime theme!

Started watching Toward the Terra, which is kind of like a dystopic science fiction show with some fantasy elements. I've heard that its kinda an underappreciated gem from 2007 and while I've only watched the first few episodes, it is pretty good, although it seems like it might stray into oppressively dark territory (which I don't like...as much respect as I have for shows like Texhnolyze, its just too hard for me to watch)

While I hate when the main character is an annoying kid, no matter how realistic that is (which is why I didn't like Noein despite a great general reception to that show), it seems like he is progressing and I will actually be able to deal with him soon.

Otherwise, the show is pretty good, but it feels like its from 2007...not sure if that is a bad thing or not, but its a thing. After I watch some more, I'll post more in depth opinions.

On a tad more serious note, who has been watching Shirobako. This week's episode was particularly good with the goth loli's backstory

Random Picture of the day: Whoes your favorite?

Monster (70ish episodes) - Not exactly short, but its an amazing show with fantastic pacing and a myriad of interesting characters. It is quite dark and bleak, but I love it with every bone in my body.

Baccano! - Short, fast paced, non-linear story telling taking place mostly in prohibition era America. Theres tons of characters, fast and frenzied action, interwoven story telling and so much stuff going on that your brain will hurt and I love every second of it.

Katanagatari - Highly dialogue focused action series with absolutely beautiful animation and some great characters as well as one of the best endings in anime (Warning: spoilers are everywhere if you try looking this one up)

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Probably the best of the "intro to anime" shows, that you always hear people talking about (like Death Note and Code Geass). It has a lot of amazing stuff going on it it.

Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate - Awesome show about a badass vampire. 

You make me want a Legend of Zelda dating sim...
