That's what they've said. They said they will not combine their platforms, they will still have a console and a handheld.

They've said no such thing. But whatever, just because they have a hybrid doesn't mean it won't have a separate console and handheld component to it.

"Still, I am not sure if the form factor (the size and configuration of the hardware) will be integrated. In contrast, the number of form factors might increase."

1. This is a forum post you just quoted as a source. I'm not impressed.

2. It says the integrated handheld/console thing is confirmed, so I don't see how it proves it's not a hybrid. Yeah, it's also saying there won't be a single device that's both a handheld and console at once, but it still sounds like a hybrid to me. Like I said, separate console and handheld components to an integrated platform.

3. Why do you care so much if someone on the internet thinks differently about how something might happen that hasn't even happened yet?

No. They will make a new platform will custom mobile chips like those from ARM to create a seperate handheld with similar power though I think in the future.

1. Are you serious? These are quotes from Iwata.

2. It's not talking about a console/handheld hybrid. It's talking about a unified architecture between the two, i.e. API and OS

3. I care when people are wrong.

If this makes you feel better

I could see a portable console with huge Wii U integration. but a portable that plays Wii U games, let alone GCN games as VC is extremely unlikely. A Wii U without gamepad is even further in the not likely category.

For all we know they could be working on a portable that plays 3DS games, it's games, and DS games and works as a Wii U gamepad (would add greater incentive to buy a Wii U as it would increase the value of the portable).

Alright, I disagree with your interpretation of the statements though. Not sure why you care so much when someone on the internet is wrong, but you'll have to get used to it. It happens. It happens in real life too. Do you go to these lengths with your friends? Can't say I'd want to be your friend if you went to these lengths with every little thing you thought I was doing wrong.

Good god chill out man all I've said is, "that's not what they're doing" and then provided links to statements by Iwata himself. If that constitutes "going to great lengths" then whatever. I wouldn't want to be your friend in real life if you can't even handle the tiniest bit of disagreement.

Moderated,

Lol, I only see one angry person here. Seems like you're the one that can't handle disagreement, hence you feel the need to correct everyone that disagrees with you post over and over until they agree :P

Over and over again? You were making factually incorrect statements. Anyways, goodbye don't respond to me again and I'd rather just not talk to you at all thanks
