While it was good for him, and the performance in itself was excellent, sadly I don't think he would have got the award if he hadn't of died. But hey, what do I know, I'm not a movie critic. :P

I'm gonna give it a chance. Didn't like the first trailer but I think Marvel is bringing the goods, lately. I consider myself a big comics fan and I know very little about the Guardians of the Galaxy. I'll actually be going into a comic book movie with no preconceived ideas of what they SHOULD do with a story/character and just enjoy what they actually do. It's kind of exciting.

If it was based on the original Guardians then neither would I, however as a Marvel fanboy I know a lot about characters already. However if DC did a JSA movie i'd be lost.

Hmm, pie.

FREAKIN AMAZING!

Go see it in 3D NOW! The single best movie I've seen this year and the best 3D movie I've EVER seen (Including Avatar).

Going to see the Movie tonight, my most anticipated movie this year :)

Good to hear some great reviews. I saw it in IMAX first of all, plan on seeing it in normal 2D to compare when I can.

Hmm, pie.

such a great movie i highly recommend seeing it

Around the Network

There were certain films as a kid I watched over and over wore out the VHS tape; Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future. Guardians of the Galaxy is this kind of film. An absolute joy to watch with action and humor and just so much fun. It met or exceeded all expectations I had, I could not be more happy with how it turned out.

Hard to say which super hero film is "best" for me, but this is the most fun I had watching one. I was laughing and smiling and cheering. I felt like a kid again and I highly recommend it to any one, even if you are not into super heroes or science fiction, the characters, dialogue and action is still enjoyable.

I really want to see it again, and again and again.

Imax 3d. Awesome.
took the kids thursday night with couple of friends, and now my wife wants to see it so I guess i'll see it again on Imax 3d.
I would say this was my 2nd best movie of the year.
1. Planet of the Apes
2. GOTG
3. Captain America.

It appears that it will have a successful opening weekend in the US. Hope positive reviews and buzz help it hold in coming weeks.

Amazing movie. I just expected a better after credits scene. Other than that, superb.

Great Great movie... Loved it. The "Jackson Pollock joke" (you know exactly what I mean if you saw it) was such a gut buster. It was the type of joke that all the adults roll in the aisles for and the kids laugh because everyone else is.... classic.
