Titanfall and Destiny are much different animals. Titanfall was a bare-bones experience that concentrated on competitive multi-player. That's why one of the most common comments about Titanfall shortly after release was, "Titanfall 2 will be awesome." Destiny is the full package, as it had a full budget from day one. It's designed to keep players playing well after launch. It's not going to be a flash in the pan by any means.
Also, the idea that it will be a disappointment if it doesn't pull GTA numbers is ridiculous. That's people attempting to set the game up to appear to fail. It will be the biggest new IP this year and that alone is damned impressive.
