But I don't think there's ground for stupid facebookers to complain about games. A lack of indie's doesn't necessarily mean more AAA.

They say they didn't buy a $399 console for small games. What I find funny is that PC gamers pay even more to play the same games and they are happy. Just... fuck. These dudes sounds like children. AAAs are not going to die, there's just more diversity.

I say: if the games are good, despite the budget, keep coming.

No offense. It's just that I don't look at it that way because it often happens the opposite. Between now and early 2015, people say it's a flurry of AAAs; well for me it's a flurry of indies because they look more interesting to me. I'll pick up 1 or 2 or 3 AAAs at most but they'll be the ones serving as "extras" during the wait between indies. If you put games like Destiny, Assassins creed, Evolve, etc, side by side with the upcoming indies, i'll buy the indies. They just look better. And it's not a hipster thing, because it's all a matter of A vs B, not AAA vs Indie in abstract. I will certainly give priority to AAAs when the specific AAAs coming look good enough for me to do that.

edit: and yeah, i have a +1000 dollar PC and spend half the time playing low-fi indies. No problem with that, IMO. It'd only be stupid if i didn't play anything else at all, ever.

I personally care little about indie game ( i only did one indie game this year : shovel knight ). They're not complaining about indie game, i think they're just complaining about the lack of big games, whichi is understandable.
But I personally can't stand false indie game like child of light.. it's not indie since ubisoft is behind it, isn't it ?

Good and original is the perfect combo, i found too many indie game which looked the same or remembered me too much of old games.. too bad.

This makes no sense to me. If the game is good and fun, what's the problem?
