So only CD playback, external HDD and DLNA/media streamer support left before the PS4 is actually an upgrade for the PS3.

Good, my PS3 and PS4 are side by side on the same TV so it wasn't a big issue in my case, but it was really stupid if the PS4 was already on have to shutdown it and boot the PS3 just to see a simple 3D Blu-ray.

The big one for me is the external HDD support.  I want that feature so bad!!

Hmm 3D movie..... isn't that the thing that only worked well with Avatar?

The PS4  really can't play CDs??? WTF??

The PS3 and Xbone have both been criticized for focusing too much on non game related functions.  With the PS4 Sony went back to a games first position and it's worked look at the sales and look at how no one ever says I wish it had CD playback.

I definitely wish it had CD playback.
