July 30th.

So the results are in, and Wii U shipped 510k, less than many (including me) predicted. That also puts LTD Wii U total at 6.68 million, meaning there is a good chance the Wii U is slightly overtracked here (vgc had Wii U at 6.52 million as of 28 Jun), and it is very unlikely that there were only 160k on shelves. Disappointing all round.

Yea kind of what I figured. Looks like I win. Next quarter should be better a little.

Well Mario Kart 8 and then some other games. It may not be much better, but July was a pretty good month for the Wii U. It may go down a lot more than people think in August though. Maybe it won't be better ha

Was it? What came out in July? We don't have any NPD figures yet either, and Japan sales were quite low ..

I looked up the release slate and all it has is Hyrule Warriors late September.

Well supposedly it's been 60k a week in all of July according to this site ( I know) but that's about 240k for July alone. That seems believable to me. You're definitely right though, all there is is Hyrule Warriors, but many around here will tell you that's going to cause a significant boost in sales, I don't believe that for a second personally. You know what, you're right it won't be better.

800k? I doubt it. I think the holiday season will play out differently than many think here.
