Xbox origional lost billions, and it is likely Xbox One is losing money now, but Xbox 360 was a success. You just can't say Xbox never made money when Xbox 360 was very much profitable before Android even released. It isn't a big part of Microsoft's business but that doesn't mean it wasn't profitable.

You are entitled to explain how Xbox One will fail, but that doesn't mean Xbox never made money, because that is just not true.

Seriously, why is 90% of the people on this website so ignorant? I mean if all of you guys have such a personal vendetta against xbox, why don't you burn down the company yet? If you think the Xbox one will flop you're an idiot. Plus I don't get why everyone is praising the Wii U for finally getting it's sales better then the Xbox. Personally, in this generation, this seems a lot more normal. The Wii U didn't have any games and it was selling WORSE then the Xbox one is currently. Now the Wii U got a huge boost in sales once more games came out (Mario Kart 8). Now, using logic, imagine how much the Xbox One sales will increase after the release of a Halo.

The fact that the Xbox one is within 2 million units of the Wii U when it released a year earlier shows that the Xbox One is actually in a better position than the Wii U currently is. Flame me all you want, this is the truth

Thanks for sharing an interesting article. Covers some really fascinating topics. I know people make some valid points about Microsoft selling the Xbox division but for some reason I just do not see them going down that road. They just generally seem committed to it. If they ever did dump it, I would be mildly surprised but not entirely shocked.

And off topic, I really do think it is funny that the internet seems to be full of people that refuse to read anything more than a short paragraph these days. Pretty sad.
