Ok, you have a problem right there, in all LATAM countries the official price of the console is way higher that the imported price I will give you an example for my country.

Xbox One official price (with kinect): 737 U$

Xbox One Imported price (with kinect): 579 U$

Similar stuff with the kinectless model, and the same situation in most (in not all) the countries in the region

 You're right, there are only a few people who still would pick the official one, and the only reason is the guaranty.

I don't see it getting a boost for releasing in more countries, maybe 10k, but that boost would be considered a sucess since the price cut didn't help it at all.

As one of the video game retailer in Malaysia (one of the third world country that in most of your mind),
now i'm telling you,the global launching of XBOX One in those 42 countries is only gonna flop in real bad,
and these are the reasons that why it's gonna flop bad;

i: the official product of XBOX One is gonna sell at much higher price than the imported system that we're currently selling,the only difference for the price gap,it comes with one year official warranty from Microsoft Asia.

ii: Ever since the launching of both PS4 and XBOX One,we're selling both consoles at the ratio of 7.5/8:1 in favour of PS4,and its not gonna change for the official launching of XBOX One as NO ONE is going to pre order for this official XBOX ONE system and PS4 is still selling like hot cakes every week.

iii: Multiplatforms are always (if not everytime) performs better on PS4 than Xbox One,and hate to be frank,but most of our loyalty COD fan customers are now switching from XBOX360 to PS4,despite Xbox Live did works better in Malaysia here than SEN.

iv: Every multiplatform games that you mentioned are not gonna move any Xbox One as they're available on both PS3,PS4 and Xbox360,for those who haven't move to gen-8,they're gonna stick with their PS360 fine and for those who gonna move to Gen 8,they're most likely gonna get a PS4 instead of waiting for the official products of Xbox one.

v: and the last,Mario Kart 8 did moves systems,we haven't even sell any single Wii U system for the last 3 months,but ever since the MK8 released,we're able to sell 1 to 2 Wii U in a week,and the Xbox One is still like a dead-ish

You mean to say just 22% of people interested in XBO version of Destiny will cause enough XBO hardware sales to outpace any positive momentum of Mario Kart 8 + any new interest in Smash Bros WiiU, Amiibo, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, Captain Toad, and whatever else Nintendo has coming this year?

Doesn't Nintendo also have that Xenoblade Chronicles follow-up? That game was huge cult hit... and great reviews first time around. Will sequel have similar success?

Even if the Scandinavian market is not that big it used to be Xbox territory. Thanks to waiting for a translation of the Kinect speach commands (Tier 3, release september 2014)  Xone probably lost a lot to PS4.
