Forums - Sony - TLOU Dev Fires Back At Those Who Feel $50 Is Too Much For PS4 Version “It’s a Steal”

I guess we like numbers so whatever ill use numbers too. :3

1. Yepp i  love to complain.  Btw its raining outside today and that really puffles my jigglies>.< Grr, so angry.

Dont be so dismissive because someone doesnt share your view on things.

2.  Well im glad you will get the chance to play it.  Its a good game, i know, i bought it on PS3 and rated it a 9.2 or something like that.  Again, i was just complaining so i marked it down 0.8 because you know, i just like to complain.

3.  It is relevant to the topic since it is the exact same topic, just a different game which you yourself said just before that it was only people taking potshots at Sony.  I like how you chang your argument so quickly.  GG, GG.

4.  My account is barely 4 years old.

5.   Again, as long as there next game is good i really dont care.  I swear i said that before.  Oh wait, i did xD

6.   Sorry, only sony games get criticized for this thing.  You said so yourself.  TOmb Raider Definitive edition and the $60 topic never happened.  Only people with agendas complain about this right?

Man that was a really fun number game.  We should do that again sometime :D

1) Maybe take the time to unpuffle your jiggles instead of coming in here to complain about something you don't care about? That would certainly be more productive.

2) Uh huh, that nice. Maybe you should work on your propensity for complaining. Might be hints of a deeper psychological issue. :3

3) What exactly in my argument did I change. I NEVER said ppl only like taking potshots at Sony. I said SOME ppl just enjoy taking potshots at Sony. Which is then said in the context of this discussiom. Is this a case of "reading comprehension ftl"?

4) Uh huhhh.... that's... nice? /patsyourback

Happy?

5) And I also said, if you didn't care, then why are you here (which was my point which you seemed to have glossed over)?

6) Never said that, reread what I typed.... slowly this time as you seem to be missing s few points.

Yes yes, it is quite fun.

It was a legitimate survey conducted by Nielsen's several months ago.

Legitimate would conduct of 100% of the fanbase, not less than 1% of the fanbase.

Lol no. You have absolutely no idea how marketing research/statistics works.

I gotta wonder if this thread continues on because of the word "Steal". Had they said the price is "good" or "fair", would this be less of a big deal?

I keep seeing the season pass brought up and that's not even available anymore. Amazon is the cheapest place to get this game at $30. Left Behind is $15, grounded is $5. Even if you only care about the single-player, this is tied with the cheapest way to get the full experience. It's even cheaper if you want the digital version. This is ignoring what ever value you feel the multiplayer dlc, visual, technical and game play enhancements add to the package.

The price isn't a steal but it isn't a rip-off either. If this was just the Game of the Year re-release on PS3, no one would have cared. Anyone that felt it was too much would have just continued to wait until that hits what ever price they want. The fact that this is an enhanced PS3 port seems to be the only thing people care about. If Naughty Dog was 3rd party and this was an enhanced port to the XboxOne or WiiU, I doubt we'd have these threads either.

Actually im very aware of how surveys work and im also aware that a survey of 2000 people consists of 0.02% of the PS fanbase.    Being logical tells me that 8.6m people consists of 8.6m people and not of 2000 people.

A survey is to get a rough idea based off a small sample.  However a survey isnt conveyed as being accurate because surveying difefrent pools can give you a wide variaty of results.  For exampl if you did another survey it could be anything from 10% to 88% depending on who you survey.

Usually a survey would be to sample if a customer were to possibly buy something.  So if i thought of a new product to sell i could survey 1000 people to give me some idea of how well it could possibly sell once released to the public.

However when it comes to staticstical information they dont really bring the most accurate results.

What if i don't care about DLC or i already buy it on Ps3 they should make a discount for who had it

It will cost them more money to have two versions on the market, one with dlc and the other without.  Then they can really justify a high price.

But many more people would buy it

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

;)

Sorry, I disagree, and I still think you don't know what sampling is, how it is derived and how the results are measured, and everything you've written here strengthens my impressions.

If you want to continue the debate about the game, fine, but I'm on vacation and don't have energy for a lecture in statistics.
