Donkey Kong U, as you describe it, would be just yet another SM3DL. WiiU has plenty of 3D platformers already, let alone platformers of any sort. No, if we get a 3D Donkey Kong, it needs to be a direct sequel to DK64.

I also want a SM64 direct sequel, as previous posters have mentioned.

But, both of these would be AAA, IMO, so that's not what this thread is about.

Nintendo shoudl buy oddworld games and add Abe to their roster. He is very different to any of their other characters and would fit in well.

But Mario Galaxy isn't meant to be n open-world game. It's meant to focus on the level-design.

"Non-AAA" is terribly subjective. That label is supposed to refer to quality, not how much a franchise typically sells, or how big the game's budget is. *shrugs*

I've already stated thus in other threads, but I would like to see:

A GOOD Star Fox game. Which means a Star Fox game like SF64, just better.

A GOOD, TRADITIONAL Metroid game. We don't need another Prime just to have a "shooter", and we absolutely don't ever need another Other M type game. Ever.

A new Wave Race, with badass water graphics/physics.

A new F-Zero, because why not.

Another Super Paper Mario game, because I thought it was a blast, and my fav. in that series.

I'd still love to see a (well made) Soul Caliber vs. Samurai Shodown crossover.

A new Double Dragon that's actually good.

No it wouldn't. SM3DW is isometric in level design. That's not what I want from DKU. DK64 is a terrible game. It shouldn't be anything like that. It would be closer to Mario Galaxy, but even that isn't a good comparison.
