Forums - Gaming - I do miss backward compatibility

You know what's a bigger crime, McDonaldsGuy? McDonald's getting rid of dark meat nuggets. Them juicy nuggets that ooze out flavor in every bite. Fuck them bitches!

OT: I do want hardware emulation over Cloud streaming emulation, but I want Achievements more. It's really hard to play older games when there is no bragging rights for me.

I am not going to lie -  Super Mario 3D World turned me off big time. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 were my favorite games last gen and to see 3D World made me ignore the Wii U. I felt like giving it a chance til I saw the new Zelda and said I'm done with Nintendo. Sucks too cause the Wii was my favorite console last gen.

I know what you mean by 3D World. I really like it but it is a huge let down from the Galaxies. I still value it better than Sunshine but not by too much. As for other games on the console, they've done nothing but impress! (3D World did and is actually my favorite game, but it's a let down.) WWHD was a beautiful HD remake that felt fresh even though it was a decade old, Pikmin 3 was an incredible blast of graphics and brought back some GameCube nostalgia with the quirky characters, relaxing music, and action filled gameplay. Tropical Freeze was a little bit of a let down but was a wonderful game, could've used a few more worlds is all. Mario Kart 8 is great compared to Wii, and its graphics are amazing. The Wonderful 101 was a pretty unique title that was fun until the final boss (ugh). Also, looking forward to games like Smash, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors, Star Fox U, Splatoon, Zelda U, Mario Party 10, Kirby Rainbow Curse, Yoshi's Woolly World, Captain Toad's Adventure, and much more to come have to get you excited, Nintendo fan or not.

OP, I like your idea. I think you should give Sony your suggestion.

I'm serious, go do it. http://community.us.playstation.com/?board.id=ps3&thread.id=2137076

BC with the last generation should be mandatory for consoles. Also being region free.

well buy another lol.

Or buy NIntendo most of those hardly break.

You can have hope, though. I fully expect Sony and MS, if they release successors to the current gen consoles, to use x86 again and AMD APUs. Then it is more a software trick than "emulation".
