More confusing, the data released yesterday by Xbox isn't #NPD, it was internal sales surveys. So we can't even compare "more than doubled"

Oh, I didn't meant it as a critic. I love VGC numbers because it gives us a pretty decent preview of the actual data that usually comes only monthly. These numbers are estimates, so they don't have to be spot on, just decently close. A lot of websites sometimes bash VGC because a number is 10% while this is actually a pretty reasonable estimate. And it's pretty convenient to have a place that gather all sales numbers in one place.

What I criticize is people's attitude about braging about a number that is presented as an estimate and after some adjustment bash a data source that was always clear about it's status as an estimate.

Pretty good for the Wii U.

I wouldn't necessarily say 140k on its own merits is exactly a healthy number but it's much better than the deathbed level of Wii U sales and they do finally get to above 100k for a month (outside of the holidays).

So, do some still think the One is going to win the US so easily? Also curious to see how accurate MS's internal estimates are. They said it was more than double. Let's see what NPD says.

Well, anyway, WiiU is ~ 123k if it's referring to June last year or ~142k if it's referring to May from this year.

Well if you keep in mind what happened last month than there was a reason to doubt vgchartz numbers!
