If PS4 isn't above 200k comfortably, I wouldn't be popping any champange bottles over at Sony HQ either. Something is not right with the industry if that's the case.

Not this again...these consoles had a lot more available and sold faster at lauch satisfying demand faster...other consoles never had that luxury, the industry is fine soon, fall sales will go up again. Stop the doom BS.

LOL at Ben V saying both consoles being very close to each other. I know Gamestop and all but it should be pretty representative of the overall market. And "more than double" means Xbone sold around 150k, which is awful. Xbone won't even be close to PS4 if it didn't even break 170k.

To be fair, he was talking about a few weeks in and only for Gamestop, which I believe him.  The One was over the PS4 on the Gamestop website for about a week or so.  Unfortunately for MS, not only did it never go higher than the PS4 on Amazon, but it dropped like a stone after the first week and a half of sales on both sites.  This most likely means that those who would have bought a One in May just waited for the $399 SKU, so there is no true increase in demand for the One, and July/August is going to be quite awful to look at.

How are people surprise about this disaster? What did you guys think the $75 cash back for 360>x1 upgrade was all about? It was obvious that june was terrible and they needed to sweeten the deal to try and win at least one month. But sadly, it does not seem to be working. July will be like 120k, while ps4 will be over 230k thanks to the last of us.

The kinectless SKU had 4 weeks, the entire console had 5 for sales, in the Month of June.

Exactly the 1st week probably had little sales due to the new SKU coning the following week

Not bad considering that no major games came out last month.  "more than double" put is at ~154k++ sold through since NPD had last month at ~77k

Won't be enough to beat PS4, but will be interesting to see how close the numbers were.

If it's not the price that's holding the system back now and if it arguably has the best games lineup. Why is it still selling worse than the no-game-better graphics-are-irrelevant-PS4?

I think we, and they, know.  Just don't like to admit it.

I think they are still waiting for the cloud or dx12 or some other secret sauce
