That is a pretty astonishing difference. I'd prefer a more accurate comparison with the same camera angles and image compression, because this just doesn't seem right.

Are you guys viewing the downsized screens in the OP? Because I can't believe how many people are saying the differences are small. Open the full sized images in a new window.

Either you're viewing the small downsized shots, or your expectations were WAY too high. This is a remaster, not a remake. It's about as good as you can make a remaster look. Improved lighting, shadows, 1080p, 4x texture resolution, higher resolution particle effects, DOUBLE the framerate, DLC, a GOTY title... all for $50? That seems pretty good to me. Especially if you haven't played it yet.
