Massive difference, but the PS3 screenshot looks like taken from a 720p YouTube video...
Isn't it supposed to be one of the best-looking PS3 games? The PS3 screen looks absolutely terrible.

Yeah, I don't know about that PS3 shot.  I don't own the The Last of Us (played it on my friend's PS3) so I can't fire it up and compare, but I don't remember it looking as blurry as that.  That PS3 screenshot is 1920x1080, which means it's not its native resolution and I'm just wondering if maybe it's just a bad shot of the game?

Its not a bad shot of the game, its just a bad presentation because they've upscaled the image to falsely compare 1080p (upscale) to 1080p (native). Of course it will look bad and worse than you remember it since you would have never seen the badly upscaled shot when normally playing the game.

Yeah, that's what I meant; I guess "bad shot" was the wrong term.

You're presumming, incorrectly, that I did not look at the shots in full screen.

Fact of the matter is I have never been and never will be a gamer who cares about "graphics". I don't, generally, sit around in a game and admire things as if they were screenshots. All I see here is a native 720 being upscaled, badly (which is a disingenious way to make the shot look worse), a 1080 being presented at 1080p, and a better draw distance with a higher res pack. So, yes, bugger all.

Then what are you doing here? What are you complaing about how this is apparently hardly an upgrade, if you don't care anyway? If you don't care about this game or graphics then get out of this thread, simple as that.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I agree.  I don't remember any game looking that blurry.  I guess its to illustrate the leap in quality.  Hope we get a comparison video on par with that awesome MGSV video from Konami or even the Tomb Raider Definitive video.  This screen shot thing just doesn't seem accurate.

There's a big difference. Textures in the building, the cars, the distance. I wonder how some can't see that, specially since the ps4 shot is being compared to a compressed, upscaled ps3 shot.
