Demand is defined as "An economic principle that describes a consumer's desire and willingness to pay a price for a specific good or service."

Are you saying Sony created from thin air the customer's desire and willingness to pay the price for their remasters?

Sony must be awesome as hell in their job...

There is demand for pretty much anything in this world. Its in the way you handle the demand that shows your intentions.

So they didn't "create the demand" as you said?

A Wii U that can play Gamecube games?

It's not like Nintendo couldn't do it, right? After all, the original Wii could run those games just fine...

Nah... It's an occasion for them to do Remasters like Wind Waker. Just like they did with the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii. For games that were just from the gen before. Prime 2 wasn't yet 5 years old when they did that remaster.

So it would be better if they just removed the BC on the WiiU and remastered the games instead?

That's what they did. ¬_¬

They did. If you can show me that there was a huge demand of the remaster before it was announced, then feel free.

You don't seem to understand what "demand" is. At least in its economic use of it.

Maybe you're referring to "clamor" or the non-economic use of the word "demand" as in "people were demanding X"?

Yes, the latter.

Yes, the latter.

In which case, ppl "wondering why they didn't release those titles on the PS4" can actually be seen as a form of clamor for said product as "wondering" why a product isn't out has been seen as a way of expressing interest/requesting in something be made available.

So no "taking advantage" is happening here? If so, I agree.

Same title, some added features, different box. Why are they not comparable again?

Its still on the same device. You dont need to buy a collectors edition to enjoy the movie on your BR player, but you need to buy TLOUR to enjoy it on the PS4.

So, someone buys a film on dvd, eventually they buy a bluray player, do they get a discount on the bluray copy of the same film?

nope.

Do they have to buy it again to play it?

nope.

retail availability is not forced, you just have an obvious and one sided agenda.

You can watch the DVD on your BR player and if you want the BR version, you can get that. Everyone is happy
