So how many 3DS games do you think will reach the 10M mark?  

So far Pokemon X and Pokemon Y already have.  Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land certainly will soon, if they haven't already with digital.  New Super Mario Bros. 2 has a pretty good shot.  Animal Crossing: New Leaf does as well, especially considering its digital sales seem to be high.

Now let's talk about future releases.  Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire can reach it.  Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is less likely to, but that's up to Japan.

If the seventh generation of Pokemon is on the 3DS, like how the DS had two generations, then that new gen opener will reach it without question.

Are there any other games that you think could reach 10M that I have not mentioned?

If Youkai Watch ever gets localized and becomes even a fraction as popular as Pokemon in Europe and NA, then that's the one.



I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I really don't think Youkai Watch (1 or 2) has a chance.

I hope that yokai watch 1/2 and monster hunter can make it. More realistically only the top 4 game sales so far I think can make it to 10 million.



Consoles: 3DS, Wii U, and Vita soon. Super Paper Mario fan.

Yes.  Youkai Watch is only at 1.15M in Japan.  The sequel will top it, but Japan will always be the biggest buyer of that game.  A fraction as popular as Pokemon is still not enough to drive it to 10M.  And for that to happen, we not only need the game to be localized, but the anime as well.

6. Current top 5 minus NSMB2, Pokemon ORAS and SSB. NSMB2 might do it, but it's legs don't quite seem strong enough. These sorts of games are always the most difficult to judge though IMO, could well be wrong. More than 7 seems unlikely though

EDIT: By comparison, GBA only had 2, Pokemon RS and Pokemon FRLG
