They had said "something new", previously. Has to either be a new IP or a reboot of something old. It's not TLOU. though i almost wish it was

It's TLOU. Sony isn't letting ND remaster the first game and they aren't shooting a movie about this just to then let the IP lie there and do nothing with it.

Naughty dog do what Naughty Dog does, Sony wont force them to make a game they don't wanna do.

If Sony hadn't pushed for a more realistic look for the game, then we wouldn't have the Uncharted franchise how we know it today. Sony has a lot of pull in that decision, they are paying the bills after all.

Did anyone think their next game woldnt be AAA?

You really can't be sure of these things anymore after Ubi pulled a Child of Light.

Ubisoft just published that game. Sony isn't going to let their best studio make a small budget title.

Developer(s)

Ubisoft Montreal
Ubisoft Massive
Ubisoft Ukraine
Ubisoft Romania

I guess you're right. Ubisoft probably had nothing to do with the development.

Im calling new IP.

Watch it be TLOU2.

You didnt understand what I was saying. But that's my fault on my poor choice of words. You said "You really can't be sure of these things anymore after Ubi pulled a Child of Light." . Do you think that Sony will let ND make a game like that?

Yes. As far as I understood ND has all the freedom they want. I don't think Sony would mindtoo much if they'd developed a smaller game for a while. I mean it's still Naughty Dog and what they touch could be the next Minecraft.

Is he responsible for Nathan Drake's butt's return to glory? If so huge loss for ND.

To bad.

AAA games are great and all, but Id love to see what Naughty Dog could do on the more creative side of things. AAA is usually just to much money to invest in something that you do not know if it will work.

I loved what Ubisoft did with Child of Light (And am awaiting Valiant Hearts on the Vita) and think Naughty Dog could do something amazing on that scale.

I would agree with you if it wasnt because it is naughty dog we are talking about. Their creativity is what made games like the last of us and uncharted popular to begin with. Its not like they just chose what is safe and then went with it... they invented it and made it popular. Uncharted: drakes fortune had demos running with third person cover system implemented before gears of war came and "revoloutionized" third person shooters. Uncharted was one of the first games to combine everything and have it work this well. Id say that is creativity in itself.
