It is simple

I think the 3DS will be the best selling console this year

3DS is already catching up to the PS4 in yearly sales of 2014 and it has been topping the charts for weeks now with few exceptions

Smash Bros 3D and Pokemon OR/AS will make the 3DS sell like crazy this holiday, seriously people have been hyping Smash for literally years and Pokemon...

What main Pokemon game DIDNT sell?

Also, calling it now, a $99 2DS incoming this holiday. That's a price point that makes consumers jump onto getting the device.

You forgot to mention the price advantage and the games already released!

ehh it depends how well ps4 does with this holiday(destiny is gonna make it get massive sales(like over 250k guaranteed imo) but then again pokemon is a jugarnaut so that should sell millions(x and y brought 3ds sales pass 400k in early october where theres no holiday buzz) :) idk

Its going to be really close imo.
I dont know how much smash and pokemon will do in comparison to destiny.
It will be a close one for sure!

Knowing Nintendo they will probably make a Pokemon and Smash Bundle

Take a look at PS4 releases starting with Madden then Destiny and all through broketober and rest of holidays. I doubt anything will top that sales wise. To many constant games releases driving sales, many from massive franchises.  Though if anything might its a 99 handheld poke smash.
