Wind Waker reached 1M a long time ago, VGC is cleary undertracking it. So I'll go with WWHD since it'll reach 2M by the end of the year (physical + digital) and I don't see TLoU Remastered reaching this amount.

You're forgetting the "hype" that's surrounding TLoU. That alone will definitely put it on par with WWHD lifetime sales within a few months. This will include both physical and digital. Let's also not forget the bundled game with the PS4 that will sell as well.

I could be wrong, but I'm not seeing this "hype". I don't hear anyone talking about this new version, except when they want to justify its existence.

However or whatever medium you hear it from, the hype for the game is there. I'm not saying you're wrong about your answer. I'm just letting you know the other factors that shouldn't be ignored. The thing is...people are still talking about TLoU. No one is talking about WWHD, unless it's coming free with their copy of Mario Kart 8. I myself chose Pikmin 3. Well that's irrelevant, what I'm saying here is that on word of mouth and anticipation alone, this game will sell just as much or even higher than WWHD. When will it...I don't know. However, I can see that it will though. Media and other folks won't stop talking about TLoU.

Game of the Year on best selling console vs. throw away Zelda title on worst selling console.

lol

Ignoring the obvious bad troll attempt, it's worth noting that WWHD is a much older game, meaning that it will attract the audience of people who have played it before as well as those who haven't, whereas Last of Us Remastered isn't likely to draw that much from the same crowd as it came out just last year.

Not saying WW will win, but chances are it'll be fairly close.

Love how anything anyone disagrees with these days is considered "trolling".  Sure, I hate Wind Waker, but the rest of my post was factual statement.  No one is trying to "troll" your favorite things.  Whatever happened to "just fucking kidding around"? Or - heavens - having an opinion?

That's generally what the rest of the internet considers trolling.

I'd say that WWHD would sell more vs. TLOUR on normalized curve where the "population" between the two system is taken into account. This is because WW to WWHD is a generation gap, TLOU to TLOUR is... like a year, and many have already played/owned/beaten the game and have no reason to repurchase it. Whereas for WWHD, the whole gen gap, means that a whole new line of kids have never played the game.

In terms of raw units, however, I'd put it on TLOUR as it will likely be available to a larger install base.

That's actually a tough one, hmm.

I think TLOU will definitely open stronger than WWHD and get to the million in physical sales faster than WWHD, but lifetime is hard to say because Nintendo games have such strong legs.

It all depends on how much Sony wants this in PS4 owners hands, I personally believe they want that very much since I'm sure that they want TLOU to be one of their new big series on the PS4, so I can very much see Sony adding this to a holiday bundle or just some bundles over the next couple years in general as to get as many new people to play this on PS4 as possible.

That's at least what I would do if I was in Sonys position, sell the game standalone for now, later bundle it until it reaches maybe 2-2.5 million or even more and then as the final kicker offer it for free on PS+ a month before the sequel releases.

So to answer the question: Depends on how much Sony wants TLOU:R to sell.

To me TLoU:R is the confirmation of TLoU2 being baked... I think it will be here no later then 2016 and I think TLoU:R will have a boost from it!
