But it was only a juggling/spamming mess to people who always got juggled and for some reason got hit by the same moves being spammed. I actually liked TT2 it was a good game. Tekken 5: DR and Tekken 6 were also good games. I don't think a lot of people put in the work to really become good at TT2. If i saw tha tI could easily juggle you at anytime I wanted why would I not? That's not spamming that's exploiting the weakness of the opposing fighter in a fighting game. If you were good at blocking/countering moves but sucked at breaking throws I would mix in throws to get through your defenses.
I don't know most of the people(and no disrespect to you in any form) who said that TT2 was a juggling/spamming mess usually weren't all that good at the game. Or didn't study their characters moves to know how to counter/punish other moves...IMO anyway.
On Topic:
FINALLY...I am super excited because Tekken BY FAR is my favotire fighting game franchise so to get news about Tekken 7 is awesome...although I do still want Tekken X Street Fighter as well

The tradition of Tekken since 1 was simple, use tactics to beat your opponent and be the better player, TT2 and in some ways Tekken 6 took that away. Juggling was not a good mechanic. In Tekken 5 (the best one so far) hitting someone in the wait wasn't a big thing but it was there, you could never get more than a few hits in and if someone got juggled it didn't make that much of an impact, side stepping, knowing the opponents fighting style and counter attacking was the key to victory. By TT2 it was a joke compared, even compared to 6 the juggling was stupid.
I am a good Tekken player, better than everyone I know and a 80% win ratio online in Tekken 6 but Tag 2... Let's give you an example, Law has a move which you can only avoid by side stepping because if it hits you while blocking you stagger, while staggered they lift you in the air and then they perform with the tag partner a combo which takes off half your health, and you blocked the first move. When they attempt the same kick 6 times in one match then it's spamming. Then learning the correct sequence of buttons to perform the combo perfectly every time is no different than playing Dance Dance Revolution. This is boring, this is dull and I can't see how it's fun either.
If the game was good, it if was balanced, they I wouldn't come up against the same 5 characters over and over online when there are 40 to choose from. I can see your points but even Tekken Revolution dropped the juggling/bound thing. Doing a juggle takes skill again. Okay so they added even more flash moves which are even more spammy but still.
I think I lost my rag once on TT2 in a single moment against Asuka or someone, I'd worked out that each time I got knocked on the ground they'd run up to me and try and sweep straight away so I waited a split second and didn't nothing instead, might have taken a hit which should knock me back but still laying down. They hit me and instead of being knocked back, my character bounced in the air perfectly for them to perform a tag combo with another bound in it. What the hell? I stoped playing and went back to Tekken 6 which is a far superior game.
... rant over, TEKKEN 7!!! Hell Yeah!
Hmm, pie.

Man we can go into this topic deep because as a Law player I know what move you are talking about an the only way you get juggled is if you do the wrong thing after you have blocked . You can get poked but can't get launched unless you move incorrectly after the stagger. And I agree Tekken 5: Dr was the best by far to me as well but it was also borken so to speak especially with Baek(someone else I play lol). I think the mechanics in TT2 just threw people off because they were expecting something different. But I certainly understand every point you just made and they totally make sense!
Lastly I am with you Tekken 7 YES SIR!!!!

My point is, there are many things that make it unbalanced in my view, I can get out of after the stagger sure but depending on what they do it might not work. The fact fact that it staggers you so much while other characters don't have it so obviously. This said I usually side step them once or twice and side throw them and they soon stop their spamming of that attack. Again though, frustration happens when I get hit by it anyway even when I've side stepped. That move homes in on you regardless.
This said nothing can compare to the Asuka counter stance from 6 onwards. My god, what a joke, they do a move which you block all off perfectly and come straight back at them with a high kick... nope, you are already in her counter throw with not way of getting out. I hate that move.
Anyway, as a mainly Lee player, 6 was still great for him. Online was a nice balance, sure there was still a lot of Kazuyas, Lars and Laws but the game was very well paced and allowed for both traditional style of play and new juggling. TTT2 was all juggling and this I didn't like.
It will be hard to know where they go from here though, they removed the bound feature from Tekken Revolution only to add flash attacks which were frustrating sometimes. It felt closer to Tekken 5's game gameplay with Tekken 6's speed. But the new game is being built with a new engine, it might be very different indeed.

Man I hated that move for Asuka and Jun as well! BUT I will say this it got SUPER predictable so it stopped being an issue after a while. But yes TT2 was definitely not balanced without a doubt. I am just excited to see where they go with 7! Looking forward to it and to what new characters they create this time round. I would LOVE for them to keep the ENTIRE roster from TT2 and add more characters but that's just wishful thinking.

Saw it yesterday. definitely down to finish Mishima saga and hopefully TEKKEN 8 being another generation jump.
Vey exciting, I cant wait to see what Heihachis true motives are.
I can almost guarantee they will attempt to pain heihachi as a good guy. I going to call it, heihachi main goal is to eliminate his wifes curesed bloodline. He wanted to splice his dna with devil gene to have tools needed to defeat jin and kazuya. Only question is jinpachi, they initially made it seem like the devil gene was passed through mishima bloodline. Hows he have it?
