My point is, there are many things that make it unbalanced in my view, I can get out of after the stagger sure but depending on what they do it might not work. The fact fact that it staggers you so much while other characters don't have it so obviously. This said I usually side step them once or twice and side throw them and they soon stop their spamming of that attack. Again though, frustration happens when I get hit by it anyway even when I've side stepped. That move homes in on you regardless. This said nothing can compare to the Asuka counter stance from 6 onwards. My god, what a joke, they do a move which you block all off perfectly and come straight back at them with a high kick... nope, you are already in her counter throw with not way of getting out. I hate that move. Anyway, as a mainly Lee player, 6 was still great for him. Online was a nice balance, sure there was still a lot of Kazuyas, Lars and Laws but the game was very well paced and allowed for both traditional style of play and new juggling. TTT2 was all juggling and this I didn't like.
It will be hard to know where they go from here though, they removed the bound feature from Tekken Revolution only to add flash attacks which were frustrating sometimes. It felt closer to Tekken 5's game gameplay with Tekken 6's speed. But the new game is being built with a new engine, it might be very different indeed. |
Man I hated that move for Asuka and Jun as well! BUT I will say this it got SUPER predictable so it stopped being an issue after a while. But yes TT2 was definitely not balanced without a doubt. I am just excited to see where they go with 7! Looking forward to it and to what new characters they create this time round. I would LOVE for them to keep the ENTIRE roster from TT2 and add more characters but that's just wishful thinking.
