The AI might be solved by later levels and higher level enemies. The loot I can brush up on by reading, the game has never really been too appealing to me so I haven't read up much on it. I am really shocked at the controls and voice acting. And I guess the gunplay. It might have the most disappointing shotgun ever in a game?

Haven't done a strike mission yet. I will say, it seems like it will be much more fun online with people, which is what I have been doing in a 2-3 player party. Borderlands I spent hundreds of hours in (mostly the first, the sequel was trash imho) but it was almost entirely solo. This game I think will be the opposite, much less entertaining solo.

Based off the beta it is still a no buy for me, but my brother is pretty impressed and we share an account so maybe he buys it.


I'm gonna buy it on day one, but I agree with what you said.

Based on what I've seen thus far, Bungie has disappointed me. But there is still some fun to be had in this game.

I am completely hooked on it, and it sucks itll be gone soon and well have to wait until september.. it also sucks i wont be able to keep my money, stash of higher level gear, multiple ships, sparrow and emblems .. lol ive had alot of fun exploring every inch of the cosmodrome. I just hope ive found everything so far lol

Played my first 2ish hours(X1) mostly solo. Havent found a way to do competitive multi yet, I likely wouldnt do it too much though. First impressions.


Good:
I like the feel of being on a large map I havent explored everything and hope to do so in the near future.
Random attack/defense events are fun.
Everything seems to run smoothly, good draw distance

Bad
AI, holy hell its terrible. I played hard out of the gate, its just dumb
Enemy spawn locations are annoying
Last gen graphics
Enemies/good guys all look the same

Looking like I will cancel my preorder ATM, but I am not a big on console FPSing, so not a surprise. If I had any real life friends with next gen that wanted to coop I would do it though(they all have 360's though)

edit:Also no one is using microphones, not a word from anyone.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Well the other thread got locked I guess I'll just post what I was going to say here...

I think it's pretty sad that people assume that Xbox gamers are biased against Destiny because of what?? Exclusive DLC? That is timed? lol The same could be said the other way around, that Playstation gamers are biased cuz they're getting exclusive DLC, it goes both ways. Are some biased? Sure, but you can't just make statements like "Only Xbox fans that don't like it" that's just ridiculous.

There are Xbox gamers that like it on this very forum, again why would they even be biased against Destiny? I don't really understand, cuz it has DLC? It's silly

That's like saying if a bunch of playstation gamers are only saying negative things about CoD because they're bitter about timed DLC... or you know they actually think the game is bad.

I actually think the hype around Destiny has been due to Sony fans having a Bungie game be so favorible to their console choice. The whole Xbox fans hate Bungie for turning on them is mostly something perpetuated by Sony fans and media. Ive seen at least 20 articles defending Bungie against hateful MS fans and have never seen a single article or messageboard post(though I am sure that they exist) showing this angst. Sony fans love to say "why are xbots so down on destiny, just because the DLC or Bungie. Stupid Xbots lolz" but it is an invention of their own imagination. Sony fans see it as MS fans hate it because it is better on Sony and a reather large a vocal community LOVE this. Maybe its just not that good. If you look at the pre orders there is only a 50,000 difference in preorders(though that does not take into account the bundle)

Destiny doesnt look amazing, doesnt seem to have revolutionary story (atm), no amazing control changes, doesnt have any major groundbreaking gameplay mechanics and to myself doesnt seem that great(not the best judge as I dont really play FPS on consoles).It doesnt seem like game of the generation or even a contender for game of the year. Destiny hasent really been raved about by reviewers either. Maybe it isnt that great.
