Uh, why? There are tons of quality 3rd party games. As for Nintendo polish, who said Nintendo wouldn't be overseeing the project like they do with Platinum Games? They'd still have Nintendo's polish.

It needs something to counter its stigma as a kiddy console, which is a serious cross to bear in this market of dudebros.

No one buying a Wii U as a second console cares about that. A few mature IP won't change that.

Four exclucive mature IP's in one year isn't a handful? Because we're getting Devils Third and Xenoblade next year. And Bayonetta this year. I don't know how you want to slice it, but that's not doing anything for Nintendo's image.

Xenoblade and Bayo will help its image. Devil's Third won't cos of its low production values.
