How coult ND have made TLoU on PS4 before it was even released? Same for the Uncharted games... and all the other games from other studios, related to Sony or not that will inevitably release some kind of ports of their old games to the PS4 and XB1!
Unless you had access to a decent PC until now, this was the only way to play the games, many don't want to admit it, but most cross platform titles were completely unplayable on the PS360 ever since their release because of resolution and frame rate... Exclusives only seemed acceptable because there was no way to see them any other way (except games that ran at 60fps, like Wipeout HD).
So yeah, those remasters are not only something that you should welcome, on many cases they are a necessity for console only games and gamers.

How about this. PS3 - 200$ for an old system for one game vs PS4 -400$ for a new system for several games. Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, BattleField, those games are the big pushers. Sure, you can play them on an older system, but people understand at least, that the new versions are better and more prestige comes with a new system. |
Yes and none of those reasons have anything to do with the TLOUR...
I think it's a couple years to soon, but whatever, I won't be buying it anyways. I just have a problem with the fact that it seems like the number of "GOTY" editions or other kind of remasters appear a year after the original launch.

Well Nintendo pushed Twilight Princess back to make it available for Wii before the GC...

Derailing means going off topic. So, if he were to start arguing about "Quantic dreams games suck", then it would be derailing. You'd actually be the one derailing the topic. |
Forum Rules, not made by me;
9.Spamming. Spam, or multiple short replies in a row without any substance, is not allowed. Explain and justify your opinions. If you have nothing to add to a topic, then go to another topic and post in there instead. Similarly, even if it's well defended, repeating your opinion about a console or game multiple times is also spamming.

Then most people on here should be banned by now..

That's why you're derailing. If you refrain from making the same comment over and over, people could make a different comment and not have every topic about this subject be a repeat of the last one because you are all over the thread.

You are by calling BS people's claims that they didn't have a ps3 to play it and only get to play it now that they have a ps4.
What swayed them? Do you actually want a list? Ok, here are some pssible reasons:
1. price (less than xb1),
2. xb1 policies,
3. multiplats running better on ps4
4. Their friends got a ps4 and don't wanna be left out
5. It's the most popular console at the moment (perhaps their parents bought it for them)
The list goes on but it's besides the point. What I'm trying to say is that games probably had little to do with their purchase.
Just like other people said, don't judge other based solely on your experience/preferences.

I have an argument as to why I dont think rematers are needed. People keep coming at me with counter arguments. Thats how a conversation works. Im repeating many things of my argument, but I dont say the same thing over and over...
