Why so many games in October??
October is a bit of a trap month this year. Most publisheres seem to be avoiding September and November because of the big games comming out then.
In September we have Destiny comming out which just about everyone seems to be avoiding (because Destiny will be HUGE!), and In November we have CoD, Halo MCC, Farcry 4, and Little Big Planit 3 comming out (all of which will be huge games), so naturally publishers have decided on October the best possible solution.
Who saw the writing on the wall?
Some publishers realized this problem a while back, and decided to push thier games back to the spring. Most notabally, The Witcher 3, Batman Arkham Knight, Dying Light, and Mad Max have been quietly pushed back to a 2015 release date.
Who Will Survive?
My guess would be that AC: Unity, Evolve, GTA V, SSB, Skylanders, and Dragon Age Inquizition will perform the best sales wise.
I think Battlefield Hardline, Sunset Overdrive, and Alien Isolation will do ok, but everything else will struggle to make back Dev. cost.
What do yall think?? Discuss!!
