Forums - Nintendo - I hope Watch Dogs for Wii U Sells Very Good but NOT too much!

Will you be getting Watch Dogs for Wii U?

Yes 114 49.57%

No 116 50.43%

Total:230

I just want a sequel to ZombiU...

at first I was going to get it but since it got delayed I won't

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I think 200k lifetime is a respectable number at this point, especially considering the other versions will be around half the price by the time it launches on Wii U. A port doesn't need to sell as well as a lead version to make profit. If the game reviews well, I will get it. If not, I may pass. Either way, I'm not getting it within the first month. I've learned my lesson on buying Ubi games too early.

I'm so tired of all this speculation about how well or terribly the game will do. I just want the game to be released! And yes, I'll be buying git day one.

I just hope it sells the most possible. I want 3rd party to keep supporting the system. But I have a bad feeling this is going to flop. Hopefully we hear good news. Just have it atleast exceed Ubisoft predicted sales. Which I hope are pretty low.

Well this time it wont flop because the audience is not there. Many WiiU owners who really wanted to play it, probably already has...

I'm sure it'll sell no less than 500,000 LTD.

I don't agree with your theory at all. If it sells well then it will be great. Perhaps other publishers will make games for the Wii U seeing how well Watchdogs did. Although I doubt the game will sell well.

Lol. No one thinks that way. If they see huge sales they will not think about how ok it was to release it late. They will think about how many sales are lost because they didn't release earlier.

Thats how consumers think and thats what I think as well but lets go back a little. Companies did not used to make patches every now and then to fix a game but now they do it. How about DLC? No company used to make on disc DLC or Pre Order DLC but now they do it because they saw it bring money. One company can infect tons of others.

If the game comes out in August or early September, it seems reasonable for it to sell 100k its first week. I hope it sells like 200k or so and at least a million lifetime to impress UBI. I guess all it needs to sell to make a profit is probably 1m.

It cost Ubisoft 1m Euros to port Assassin's Creed III, going by that figure they only need to sell 100,000 units or so before making a profit. They should have made a profit on all of their Wii U multiplatform releases so far, including Assassin's Creed IV.

If this is true then they are just greedy.

Don't worry, it would be lucky to pass 250k.
