After never paying for online, I finally bought a year of PS+. I'm trying to rationalize it as a game purchase, and it ill last me my until next summer, but I still feel dirty. Especially since, I basically only play FFXIV and Warframe which doesn't even need it.

It was an impulse buy, when I saw previously free games up for sale, I lost it.

It was so easy...

It's worth it just for the free games. I hardly play online, but I've gotten some amazing games out of it. This month they offered Towerfall for the PS4 and Murasama Rebirth for the Vita, both games that I was considering buying.

Welcome to the greatest videogame investment you can make currently, in my opinion. For $50 if you happen to own all 3 systems you should have more than enough to play each and every month. Will you love every game PS+ offers? Doubtful. But I'm fairly confident that over the course of the year you will be able to say to yourself this was worth it. Plus if you do happen to be a person who purchases lots of games digitally (being a Vita owner it's damn near a must) the saving is easily worth it. If you don't end up loving it, you are out a mere $50.

Hypocrisy is underrated, sometimes it's just speaking from experience. But in this case no, you are a hypocrite and should be ashamed of your actions. Yubitsume is your only recourse to regain your lost honor.

Be sure to download even games you have no plans of playing... one day you may play them outta boredom. Thats what I do....

I just make my gf or my sis pay for it on my birthdays :)

Don't worry, eventually, it will come to all consoles. Its a terrible thing that Microsoft started in the Xbox 360 and it was only a matter of time till Sony made it mandatory as well... And one day, I am sure Nintendo will get on board and on that day, I will fap my sadness away very very hard.

But, if you ever happen to explore PC gaming, you should you should check out a thing called Steam! Its free, it has all the features of PS+ and XBL, it has leagues better sales than both combined, it has dedicated servers, it has mod support and best of all, it has family sharing where if you have a library of games (specially 296 games like mine), you can share your library with many of your friends for free or in my case, I charge them cause I love exploiting friends and family! But there is always the high initial cost although lets be honest, people do a lot more things with PC than just play games that justify the inital cost (wink wink).

But oh well! The future of the gaming industry is quick cash grabs, thats for sure but at least between XBL and PS+. PS+ is a better deal so least you can feel happy about that
