I think I'll just limit my posts to "yet another port" seeing i'm going to have to do this for another 37 PS3 games.

I think it's more to do with developers spending their time remastering a series rather than making brand-new games.

This. The people defending this practice might be fanboyish enough not to care, but what about the 70-80million people who owned the PS3 who would have bought it on that console if they wanted and still have the chance to buy it for much cheaper. The people who want new games for their $400 console rather than an endless stream of ports.
*edit*
@Goldenboy Guess I'm not going to just limit my posts :P.

This is the second PS3 to PS4 retail game port, get a grip. and the more games, the better. its not a simple concept to understand.
people attacking this practice are proving to be nothing short of ignorant. this port, as stated by many others, barely takes any resources, time and effort. yet it gets the devs familiar with the new hardware, helps build their engine for the PS4, gives the chance for non PS3 owners and new PS4 owners to play the game, and makes the devs money. yes, thats important as this is a business.
Quantic Dream already has a PS4 game in development since 2012. this isnt effecting that game. and guess what, Naughty Dog have two AAA games in development, and TLoU:R didnt effect them either.
there are many, many, many new games coming for PS4. in fact PS4 is the console with most games in development. more than anything on XB1 and WIiiU (despite being a year more on the market.) so stop spreading your nonesense, it is by all means making you look incredibly foolish.
