It just occurred to me that Kotaku is Japanese centric website and what might prompted them to have this change of heart is that in Japan its looking like the Wii U might be the main home console in Japan.

Well Famitsu is a Japanese publication where Kotaku is a group of Westerners who really like Japanese things and look at games from that view. I mean the word Otaku is in the name of the website afterall.
