Forums - Sony - DriveClub weather effects 1st look ( NEXT GEN )

I think it doesn't look colorful enough, needs more orange juice, yellow balls, green mushrooms and objects made of wool.

I mean i get that members here seem way too exited to see normal rain after seeing heavy rain on ps3. Still slightly harsh comment from you even though some juice would have been nice.

I heard that the weather has no effect whatsoever on the driving conditions. Is that still true?

On that note, can you go into details on exactly what implications dynamic weather has on gameplay?
Alex Perkins: As you’d expect, weather is a game changer. When your tires get wet it’s harder to brake and easier to drift, which has a big effect on how you race and score fame for your club. It’s not just the handling that changes though, visibility can also change massively and impact on how the game plays too, especially at night when you’ve got your windscreen wipers going like crazy and your headlights are reflecting on the snowflakes ahead of you to blanket the sky in white.

i remember seeing an interview where they said it did. the thing that doesnt have an effect on driving is damage.

I heard the same.

Looks really great. Seems like Drive Club pushes rain this gen like PGR did early last gen.

But not sure how long some will still say next gen.

Nice, so it really got everything then.

Wow guys the rain effects look amazing. And apparently there's blizzards and thunderstorms ????!?!

I got it perfectly right when i argued that this game is all about immersion and fun!

And man that second video looks crazy, you can see the puddles of water accumulating on the road side!

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

60 fps is overrated if 30 fps can allow for good looks like that

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Looks nice but yeah holy no AA Batman.
