Forums - Gaming - When Mario Kart 8 outsell Watch_Dogs (PS4)?

200.000 digital sales on a nintendo console, so naive x)

Wasn't it shipped, not sold ?

It yes, watch dogs is also undertracked as VGC doesn't track digital sales

Well, 200k is pretty possible since it would be just 10% and it's a pretty reasonable data and less than what we see on PS4 and X1 and surely much less than digital oriented platforms like Vita that get almost 40-50%. It could be shipped data too, of course. I won't consider WD undertracked since VGC unfortunately don't track digital sales (for external reasons) since then we would have to consider almost all games undertracked here.

Around the Network

Before the end of August! I'm going to be pretty shocked if it takes longer than that for MK8 to outsell the Ps4 version of WD...

Ubisoft reported 8M shipped for WD so I think we are really undertracked. Haven't Ps4 accounted for 40% of sales? Só that is 3.2M shipped and quite possibly over 2.5M sold.
Regarding digital I'm certain the percentage of digital over total is bigger on ps4 games than on WiiU for all the reports we have, so when citting it don't do it in favor of the U.
And they may finish tyed which would be an accomplishment for a new IP that is even competing with itself on other platforms compared to the WiiU saviour.

Looking at Ubisofts breakdown it's mainly the pc version that is undertracked: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=186614

Ubisoft has both the PC and X360 at 14%, sales on VGChartz:

PC:        170k

X360:   720k

So the PC version is undertracked by atleast half a million.

PS4 is at 36% by the way, so that looks spot on.

This is for all the games released by Ubisoft not for WD, so your info have no relevance here... and I'm pretty sure our report on the first week of WD was PS4 around 40-44% of total like 1.8M of the 4M total.
