That vid was super cool and it's exciting to see what Nintendo will do with it.

It would actually be nintendo's take on VR.

VR huh? Well we all know what happened when Nintendo did that...

Miyamoto didn't like the oculus rift, so they aren't doing that approach.

So basically, instead of buying a 3D TV, you can buy these glasses?

Sounds interesting but 3D isn't exactly innovative or cool in 2014.

Go ahead and watch the video that was posted earlier in the thread. I want it now that I've seen that.

DAAAAANG They probably got him on that. That is awesome.

He went to work for Microsoft last I heard.  Was surprised much of his tech didn't show up there.  Maybe he moved on over...or maybe Nintendo just changed a few details and called it their own.  Either way, this is much more impressive tech than current 3D.

Hope nintendo got him, that could be why nintendo has been saying virtual reality isn't for them, because they have this instead.

He works for Google now.

BTW, this video is from Dec 2007.

Yep.  I actually made a thread a few years ago on that head-tracking video, thinking that Nintendo might pursue something like that.

Nintendo did something similar with the DSi

It's cool to think that they may have been experimenting back in 2010.

I don't like having to wear glasses cause I already wear them. Its a big reason why I hate watching 3D movies.

If it's anything like the head-tracking video posted earlier, it doesn't require anything to be over your eyes; just sensors mounted on your glasses or head.

Ah, that's very interesting! Would be very cool to actually see a game use this.
