Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Defends Against Claims That PS4 Lacks Exclusives This Holiday

If anything Sony is having one of the better holidays out of the big 3.

I wouldn't say the better holiday, but definitely the better year. Well, for people like me that don't like Nintendo games anyway.

starcraft, no, just that it's a shooter. More so than a game like TLOU.

To each their own I guess. But try to think of it from the market's perspective.

Halo MCC is an enormously attractive offering for NA. Forza H2 is the sequel to a critically acclaimed game, and Sunset Overdrive is the most exciting new first party IP launching this year - doesn't mean it will deliver, but it has that unique potential.

Littlebigplanet 3 is the sequel to a critically acclaimed game.

When did MS buy Insomniac?  Exciting is subjective as well, DriveClub could be considered more exciting.

I do agree about MCC, but I doubt it will sell as well as some expect.

New, colourful, breaking the shooter mould

You'll have to explain that one to me.

The concept of the E3 trailer. Instead of all the serious shooters where you take cover and shoot, SO wants you to do the opposite. Be silly and never take cover.

Lol, you would think that wouldn't be that hard to figure out.

I've done that many times before. It's nothing new.

Its a TPS that isn't a cover shooter like Gears/TLOU. Also, its colourfull has 8player coop and doesn't take itself seriously.

TLOU isn't a cover shooter, nor a shooter. It's a stealth survival horror game.

Only game I've played that could be considered anything close to Sunset Overdrive is Ratchet and Clank. A open world and more mature version of Ratchet and Clank mind you.

Edit: also the talk about Sunset Overdrive is kind of derailing the thread. Should probably stop now guys.

When a journalist or a gaming site has an agenda. Planetside 2, Battlefield, Destiny, Assassins Creed, The Last of Us, Deep Down, Project Cars, Drive Club, The Crew, Diablo 3, Evolve, Little Big Planet 3, GTA5 and PS+ games does not matter.

"PS4 lacks exclusives"

Most of what you posted isn't.

Also, gaming sites and journalists have called out the Wii U countless times last year, did they also have an agenda?

Which games?

W40k Space Marine

Warframe

Hard Reset

Shadow Warrior

Serious Sam

Alien Rage

...Infamous? Kinda.

plus all the old school shooters.

Shooters were never about taking cover and shooting until Gears of War. After that, it became too prevalent but thankfully some games didn't replicate it.
