Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony Defends Against Claims That PS4 Lacks Exclusives This Holiday

amak11 said:

The problem I have was they were asked about exclusives. Then they started talking about 3rd party multiplatform games and exclusive content(which is bullshit, imho). Sony does need to answer that question properly because they developed a huge roster of exclusives that they barely used last generation.

They weren't asked about exclusives though. Only the title of the article mentions exclusives for some bizarre reason.

It seems there is alot of bad attitude in this thread, when did people become so hostile? This is my take on it all:

- MCC was probably the single handedly most wished for announcement by fans from MS.
- alot of PlayStation fans wanted TLOU to be a launch title for PS4, therefore this remake is anticipated.
- MS AND Sony therefore decided to both MILK their franchises and at the same time do something for the FANS.
- This is not bad, since fans of both games get something.
- Sony has the weaker lineup this fall, in my view, but next holiday will be much closer with high profile releases from hem both.
- And can we drop this "not a proper release since it was on 7th gen" or "not exclusive since it exist on PC"? It's so silly.

I find it very funny how much people are underestimating LBP3.

I read somewhere here saying that the MCC is the "biggest cash grab of them all." I'm not much of a Halo fan, ask pretty much all the big Xbox fans here, but the MCC, from an objective standpoint is one of the best remasters to be released. Like you cannot beat that. 4 games (1 remaster, 3 up-res'ed ports), 1080/60 fps, original multiplayer, dedicated servers, etc all for $60. Plus it comes with Halo Nightfall and 5 multiplayer beta access.

You have to be joking. Like fore real? lol!

all 4 would cost me about 16$ of amazon, thats the marlet value of the 4 games.  No opinion just what it is.

So +40 extra for a demo and tv show?

I don't know why we're getting into arguments over who milks whom more. All three do it, lol!
Do some do it more than others? Yes, but it's all the same.

Shut up slade, nobody asked for your opinion lol JK.

Off topic: Like the new avatar.

If the weather greatly impacts the car handling between both versions, let me know when the game is out. Until then, i'll keep saying it's just graphics. Nothing has been said to believe otherwise.

IGN has released a new preview video that explains in more detail how the weather system works in Forza Horizon 2. Fog, mist, rain, wind and everything else will be added as weather in the game. The only weather effect not included is snow since the areas in France and Italy the game is set in don’t have snow.

The dynamic weather system is more than just a cosmetic and graphical difference in Forza Horizon 2. The weather will also have an effect on the way you drive. Rain and mist will impair your visibility and will also make the roads more slippery. There are also varying amounts of rain you can experience. Light showers won’t be too bad, but heavy rain will make things more difficult.

Even the article explains that its not just "GRAPHICS"

How much more evidence do you want? Why can't you understand that adding features like this isn't possible on last gen hardware without severly impacting the game in a negative fashion.

Stop spreading lies. It cost me more than $60 so your're wrong.

To each their own I guess. But try to think of it from the market's perspective.

Halo MCC is an enormously attractive offering for NA. Forza H2 is the sequel to a critically acclaimed game, and Sunset Overdrive is the most exciting new first party IP launching this year - doesn't mean it will deliver, but it has that unique potential.

Littlebigplanet 2 metacritic - 91

Forza Horizon 2 metacritic - 85

Halo - remaster just like TLOU

SO - most exciting? that's highly debatable.

Seems you're thinking of it from your perspective, not the market's.

Firstly, I have nothing at all against LBP!

Secondly, the bolded is ridiculous. Both feature for feature, and in terms of likely market reaction.

It isn't at all rediculous.  TLOU:R is a full 100% upgrade with graphics that will rival the best of the best.  It also comes with in-game commentary and new tweaks to the AI and gameplay.

one one hand u got an remake of the best looking last gen exclusiv game

on the other hand u gon an remake of an 6. gen game

wich gaphics improvment gap will be bigger?

thats my argument, why tlou is just a rnd rmk, while halo mcc is something special

tlou remake vs halo 4 remake would be compareable

Same here. It also comes with 8.7m user generated levels online, but i dont see people praising it for having more content.

Because it IS possible and it IS on last gen hardware. Just conveniently left out of FH2, because MS.

Regarding TLOU vs HMCC.

HMCC will have been played by pretty much every Xbone owner already who had an interest in Halo. TLOU is at least good for the people who jumped ship from 360 to PS4.

That's not necessarily true. There are people who haven't played Halo 2 before.
