Congrats! You have till the end of this month to get Mario Kart and download the free game! So first make a club nintendo account and register your Wii U.

Zombies also take more hits to kill and deal more damage.

True.

Skylanders is a kids game. Very low difficulty, very basic level design and a story with jokes that are so lame that only kids would find them funny.

I found the game rather enjoyable. Nice platforming, nice story and the concept is very intriguing. I liked it. Makes me want Amiibo more

I'm sure you found plenty of enjoyment then.

I am pretty sure Skylanders is something that can only be appreciated by kids. I don't own it but I have seen a friends 7 year old kid play it, and it looks super lame.

If you try to ignore everything except a few of the games on the Wii U, then it might turn out to be an okay console for you. I wish you luck in that endeavor.

Also, I've never been interested in Skylanders. Looks really gimmicky, just like Amiibo.

I hope you enjoy it.

I enjoyed Zelda WWHD, Pikmin 3, and Mario Kart 8

I actually didnt find the update too long. it was ok.
