Except TLoU is a game that was released a year and a half ago with no original plans to bring it to the PS4. The new "remastered" version is only a graphics increase with DLC. Meanwhile, WWHD is a decade old game which was truly remastered, and GTA4 was planned to come to the nextgen platforms regardless.

The bottom line is this: TLoU: RM is a port. No more and no less. When people get excited for a port, thats when you know they have no games to play.

Umm,  TLOU released June 13, 2013 and the Remaster is July 31st, 2014. That is not a year and half. Plus, as I said it has a resolution bump, a fps bump from 30 to 60 and includes all DLC.

It is not much different from your typical GoTY Edition except that it has a significant quality bump.

You have to keep in mind that Playstation said that 30% of all PS4 owners didn't own a PS3.  If that is correct then 30% of 8M is 2.4 million PS4 owners didn't play TLOU.  Add in the double dippers who did own it on PS3 and its going to easily be a Million seller.  So then the question is, why wouldn't Sony re-release this game?

Having more games on console can't be a bad thing, specially when those games are critically acclaimed as TLoU is (though personally I'm not a big fan) and when devs are putting effort to bring it to current standards. There are lot of people who missed it, so there's no reason not to do it.

If they are smart, they will do that for every PS3 game that has potential to contribute to PS4 library.

Same goes for Nintendo/MS.

I get the point of it. To make more money... Im just not sure its needed...but if it makes more people play it, then fair enough. Great game.

You know what really needs the HD treatment? Shenmue 1 and 2. I'd buy that sh**.

Considering 31% of PS4 owners have come from Wii/X360 this is a great opportunity for those gamers to play this game.
